Laboratory Orders for all Networks

LabCorp is the exclusive HMO provider of outpatient laboratory services to FHCP members. LabCorp offers enhanced information and communication technology to FHCP providers through an internet based program called E-Results. Each FHCP HMO provider is issued a FHCP account number to be used when ordering Lab studies for FHCP members only. Use of the separate account number requires the offices to use a special LabCorp/FHCP requisition for their FHCP members. LabCorp and FHCP have linked the accounts of all FHCP HMO providers together. By using your FHCP account with LabCorp, it facilitates the flow of information between Provider offices relating to patient care, referrals and overall care management of FHCP members.

Advantages to using the special FHCP/LabCorp account:

• Your office will have on-line access to view your FHCP patient lab results quickly, efficiently and securely through the internet.
• Specialist offices will save valuable time in that physicians will be able to access results of lab studies ordered by referring FHCP HMO physicians for the purpose of patient care.
• HMO PCP's will also benefit from being able to review the results of lab studies ordered by Specialists caring for FHCP members assigned to their practice for the purpose of continuing the patient's care.

FHCP requests that FHCP members use the facilities listed in our Provider Directory for Routine and STAT lab collections. Offices can make arrangements for specimen collection directly by LabCorp, as long as the correct FHCP requisition is used for the FHCP member.

All Genetic Testing for FHCP members must have prior authorization from the FHCP Referral Department in Daytona Beach. Please do not send a FHCP member directly to a lab without prior authorization. Only requests that are medically necessary will be considered.
